Host Profile

Medica Hospitals, one of the major healthcare chains in Eastern India, launched its operations with Medica North Bengal Clinic (MNBC) in Siliguri in 2008, and soon followed up with its flagship Hospital – Medica Superspecialty Hospital (MSH) – in Kolkata.

The 500-bed Kolkata Hospital, has brought to the city a fresh approach in healthcare – not just in technological advancements and innovative treatment techniques, but also in the area of patient care. The healthcare facility (with NABH accreditation) caters to people from all strata of society with stress on transparency and affordability.

Medica also operates a 150-bed multi-specialty hospital in Jamshedpur and one in Kalinganagar (Odisha), in collaboration with Tata Steel, a 300-bed Superspecialty hospital in Ranchi (Jharkhand), two hospitals in Siliguri (including the district’s only comprehensive Cancer Hospital) and a multi-specialty hospital in Tinsukia, Assam. In Kolkata, Medica also operates the 40-bed specialised healthcare unit, Medica Gamma Hospital. The Group is also coming up with units in Patna, Dhanbad and Burdwan. In the international arena, the Group has presence in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Myanmar.
