Bed Categories

The following bed categories are available and will be allotted depending on your choice or availability or entitlement in the case of patients covered under insurance schemes or corporate agreements.

  • Multi 6 (6 beds in a room)

The multi-Sharing Rooms are segregated into male and female rooms except in high dependency areas like ICUs. Children below 10 years of age of either gender may be admitted in female rooms.

A few Mandatory Admission Procedures

Please show the admission advice at the admission counter. Kindly fill up forms given to you and submit any insurance papers that are required to be processed. If you are to undergo a surgical or invasive procedure, you are required to sign a consent form. Please make sure you have been explained the contents and have understood it before you sign it.

Advance Deposit

An advance amount is to be deposited at the time of admission. The amount depends on the type of bed and treatment/ surgery you will be undergoing. Please obtain this information from the admission desk prior to your admission date to make arrangements for necessary funds. Please obtain a receipt for amount deposited. When this amount is about to be exhausted during the course of your treatment in the hospital, the hospital guest relation executives will inform you to enable you to make further deposits to cover remaining expenses.

Issue of Bed Head Ticket / Indoor Case Papers :

Required Documents :

a) Application from the patient/patient party (next kin in case of death)/ Insurance company to the Medical Director/Medical Superintendent/Deputy Medical Superintendent, mentioning the details of the patient and the documents required along with the purpose.
b) Authorisation letter (in case collected by others) from – the patient – patient party (next kin in case of death) duly signed by the patient or patient party (next kin in case of death) and the person who is authorised to take the documents.
c) ID Proof photocopy duly signed by the patient.
d) ID Proof photocopy duly signed by the authorised person (in case collected by others).
e) Payment as applicable.

( For ID Proof, any of the following: Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving License )

In-patient Assistance :

After the admission formalities are over and the bed is allotted, you will be escorted to the room and introduced to the ward nurse and inpatient guest relations executive who will assist you throughout your stay in the hospital.

Guests opting for the super deluxe rooms are offered the facility of completing the admission formalities in the room. Our Guest Relations executives will assist you in this.

Daycare patients will be escorted to the Daycare Ward which has beds in an open ward under the direct supervision of nursing staff so that they can observe and interact with you properly.

Security of your valuables cannot be ensured and the hospital authorities do not undertake any responsibility for loss or theft of your personal belongings.

Visiting Hours :

Ward Timing: 10 am to 11 am & 5 pm to 7 pm
CCU Timing: 8:30 am to 9 am & 4 pm to 5 pm
CTVS Timing: 4 pm to 5 pm

You may nominate one responsible person to meet the doctor to know about the treatment, during morning hours. Many relatives meeting the doctors at different times make it difficult for the doctor to render efficient medical care to all his/her patients. The person so nominated should inform all other family members and other well wishers regarding your treatment and progress.

Visitors :

Only 2 visitors and in case of CCU’s only 1 visitor can visit at a time. Please avoid overcrowding in the room. Visitors should stay with the patient for a very brief period of about 15 minutes only. It is advisable that very young children should avoid visiting the hospital frequently.

The nursing staff can request quite time for the patient at any time depending on the patient’s health. Visitors are required to respect the nurses instruction. One attendant is allowed in the single rooms. Attendants are not allowed in multi-share and twin share wards and must wait in the common waiting area.

Night Entry: The main entrance will remain closed at night. The Casualty/Emergency entrance may be used at night.

Food and Nutrition :

The hospital catering services will provide all meals to you. The hospital supplies your diet as per a standard menu. This is not charged separately. Endeavor will be made to supply extra items at extra cost as per your desire, provided this is approved by the dietician. However, this may not always be possible. Special diets as advised by your doctor will be provided under the guidance of the dietician. Please do not bring any eatables from outside. If you are going for any special investigations, your meal timings may be delayed. If are to be operated upon, you may not be allowed any food on the day of the surgery and a couple of days thereafter.

Food Service Timings are as below:

  • Morning Tea: 6:30 am to 7:15 am
  • Breakfast: 8:30 am to 9:15 am
  • Mid Morning Soup/Juice: 11 am
  • Lunch: 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm
  • Evening Tea: 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm
  • Dinner: 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Clothing :

While in the hospital, you will be required to put on the hospital dress. It is only at the time of discharge you will be allowed to change into your own clothing.

Medicines :

Medicines may be purchased from the hospital pharmacy, which is part of the retail outlets called MEDICA Health Shoppe. Hospital will use medicine provided through its pharmacy only. No outside medicine will be given to any in patients.

Blood Bank :

In certain situations if blood is required for operation or treatment, please arrange for donors through friends and relatives. Blood from professional donors shall not be accepted.

Discharge Procedures

Usually your doctors will inform you a day in advance about your discharges so that you can make your necessary arrangements for leaving the hospital. All care is taken to ensure that patient discharges take place in the minimum time possible. However it’s advisable to get in touch with the floor coordinator once your doctor advises discharge for your patient.

Your relative or care giver will have to complete the following:

  • Clear all hospital dues.
  • Return all hospital passes given to you for attenders and visitors.
  • Understand the treatment follow up instructions.
  • Hand over all hospital items given to you, to the nursing staff.
  • Collect all your personal belongings.
  • Vacate the cupboards allotted to you.
  • Collect the discharge summary which contains information on your medical condition and treatment.
  • Collect medicines, if any.

On clearing all the hospital dues, a release slip will be given to you, which is to be handed over to the ward nurse before leaving the ward.

Please contact the ward GRE in case you need assistance for transport home.

Access to your Medical Records:

As per law, we are required to maintain the original medical records for a defined period of time. On application, you can have access at an appointed time under certain circumstances. Medica legal records are not released. At the time of discharge, a Discharge Summary and other investigations reports will be given to you.

Telephonic Information – You have the right to confidentiality. Your medical information will not be disclosed telephonically to any individual without your consent, even if someone claims to be your near relatives.

The entire hospital is a No Smoking Area. Chewing paan, tobacco, gutka, jarda is prohibited in the hospital premises.
