Laser Lithotripsy – latest tool in laser surgery

The hospital has recently acquired the latest tool in laser surgery for removal of stones – the Laser Lithotripsy. The procedure, which was used to remove upper ureteric stone with great success on a patient by Dr. P.K.Mishra, Director and Head of the Department of Urology and Kidney Transplantation, on 10th May, took only 10 minutes to perform. The procedure involves the breaking down of stones through endoscopy with laser.
