pain and restore normal movement and function patterns, to help restore the body to its natural state.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is a health service that caters to help
people of all age groups, who have had some form of physical dysfunction/injury. It helps to improve their ability to perform tasks
in their daily living and working environment. It also helps patients
not only to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning
ability but also to compensate for loss of function. |

Alternative Communication/Augmentative Communication and Speech Therapy
Speech therapy is service that caters to individuals who have communication disorders. It focuses on receptive language or the ability to understand words spoken to you, and expressive language or the ability to use words to express yourself. It also deals with the mechanics of producing the words, such as articulation, pitch, fluency and volume. For mechanics, this might involve exercise to strengthen the tongue and lips, such as blowing on whistles or licking up cheerios .For language, this might involve games to stimulate words retrieval, comprehension
and conversations. |
