To celebrate the occasion, various activities were held, which included a tree plantation ceremony inside the hospital premises. The hospital’s Chairman, Dr. Alok Roy, planted some saplings in front of the temple, along with the well known footballer, Mr. Baichung Bhutia, and designer Ms. Agnimitra Paul. The day started with planting trees down the boulevard in front of Medica, leading down to the EM Bypass. The planted trees will be maintained by Medica. A team of Medicans distributed saplings and leaflets with environment conservation related messages, as a goodwill gesture from the hospital to 100 families in the immediate vicinity of the hospital, including Mukundapur, Survey Park, Patuli and Ajaynagar.
