» Q What preparations should be taken for each test?
Ans: General Instructions for health check-up are as follows:
- Patients should be on empty stomach with overnight fasting and are advised to have 3-4 glasses of plain water in the morning, for a full bladder to facilitate an ultrasound.
- Kindly bring your morning samples of urine and stool, if applicable. Sterilized containers for samples may be collected a day in advance from the hospital help desk.

» Q. When should we come for our next health check-up?

On a routine basis, annual repeat check-ups offer a review of any abnormality detected during the first check-up.
» Q. Are any discounts offered on health check-up packages?
Ans: Discounted health check-up packages of up to 50% are conditionally available (please refer to package estimate format).
» Q. Is there any appointment facility for health check-up?
Ans: Yes, we have appointment facility for health check-up. Prior appointment helps us to plan our schedule more efficiently. We, however, give only a limited numbers of appointments.
» Q. Will Doctors be available on the Sunday for health check-up?
Ans: No, Doctors are not available on Sunday.
» Q. Should only a patient with a history of any disease go for health check-ups?
Ans: Prevention is better than cure.
Certain diseases are silent killers, where symptoms may not be very severe e.g. diabetes. A patient suffering from diabetes may not show any symptoms & hence leave it untreated, thus increasing its severity. Diagnosis is not possible without blood test.
Other lifestyle complications such as abnormal lipid level; hypertension etc. (caused by sedentary life style, lack of regular exercise, irregular food habits, stress etc.) can lead to many serious diseases. This can be prevented if diagnosed early, hence regular blood checkups, ECG & cardiac tests can prevent small abnormalities from becoming major diseases.
» Q. Should I go for my check-up on an empty stomach?
Ans: Most blood tests are performed on empty stomach. Patients can drink water if required. For examination of urine, first morning sample (mid- stream) should be collected in a sterilized container, which may be collected a day in advance from the hospital help desk. Ideally, the sample should reach the laboratory within 2 hours of collection. Sterile containers can also be bought from reputed Chemist Shops.
- Patients should be on empty stomach - 12-hour fasting is required
- If on medication, should be continued as per schedule
- Alcoholic beverages should not be consumed for 72 hrs prior to the check up
- It is advisable to bring your morning stool sample in a container collected earlier from the hospital
- For women – Urine routine and pap smear tests cannot be done during menses (periods)
- Please bring your earlier medical records
- Kindly adhere to appointment timings & help us to serve you better
